The Motorola X phone has been talked about for awhile, although none of it official. It looks like the fabled phone may make its debut soon though as the Google Company has released a full spread ad that was featured in The New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal and Washington Post. The ad is of note for a couple of reasons:
1. This is the first time that the phone has been advertised, so we get a feel for not only its campaign, but get to see the new Motorola logo in all of its glory as well. No sign of the actual phone however, just stock photography having a great time.
2. The line ‘Assembled in the USA’ confirms the rumors that the phone will be manufactured in the United States. This will most likely take place at Flextronics in Texas (rumored).
3. Probably most notable is the line ‘designed by you.’ This has not been mentioned in rumors previously so either this is simply a non-relevant marketing ploy or an interesting twist on the phone that has successfully been kept under wraps.
