Right as the pre-order dust settled, Apple has begun shipment of iPhone 5s.
According to Mac Rumors, some of the earliest pre-order customers already received shipment tracking. Those who haven’t received tracking are doing a work around by using their phone numbers associated with their Apple ID as a tracking reference on UPS and Fed-Ex tracking sites. Some have also reported using the Apple Order number but leaving out the last two characters. Yet others are even trying to decode their serial numbers to see when their iPhone was made and figuring out a ballpark shipment date that way.
Although this may get some customers excited for the possibility to get the device just a little bit earlier, Apple has given special delivery instructions to couriers to hold the devices and deliver the phones on the 21st.
