Google has, hands down, the most comprehensive and current map data of, well, most of planet Earth. From driving directions and Google Street View, to aerial shots with Google Earth, there isn’t much of our world you can’t see from your own computer.
Google partnered with another company, Instrument, to create a virtual skydiving experience. It uses seven large screens and motion sensors to allow the virtual skydiver to maneuver in the air, just as you would if you actually jumped out of a plane. If you’re attending Google I/O, you’ll most likely get to try out the simulator. Check out the video below for a quick demo.
