The Sony Xperia Z is Finally Coming to the U.S.A.

T-Mobile will the be exclusive carrier of the Xperia Z here in the U.S. when it goes on sale “in the coming weeks”. You can sign-up to be notified by T-Mobile when it launches on their sign-up page.

The Xperia Z was first unveiled at CES earlier this year, and has already been available for much of the rest of the world for a few months. It’s a flagship, high-end Android phone, which Sony hopes will change the perception of the Xperia lineup.

The Xperia Z sports a 5-inch, full-HD 1080p display (much like the Galaxy S4), 2GB of RAM, a Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, clocked at 1.5ghz (quad-core), a 13MP rear camera, 16GB of storage with support for microSD cards up to 64GB, and will run on T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network. Not too shabby.

Also interesting to note about the Xperia Z: it’s water resistant up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. So, if it goes for a dunk in the toilet, an accidental swim in the pool, or drops from your hand and into a puddle, it’ll still leave to see another day.

T-Mobile has yet to give official pricing with their new rate plans, but expect it to be in line with the Galaxy S4 and HTC One, which are the Xperia Z’s main contenders. So what say you, ZAGGblog reader? Will you make the Xperia Z your next phone?
